Will my ECHS credits transfer?
I am a Texas ECHS student and I've been wanting to pursue a mechanical engineering undergrad, mech and aerospace dual masters, at Rice, Texas A&M, UH, etc.. One of my main problems is if my 60 credit hours will transfer. If they don't, should I try applying as a transfer student?

Yes — most of your Texas ECHS dual-credit hours will transfer to schools like Rice University, Texas A&M University, and University of Houston, especially core classes like calculus, physics, English, and history. You should almost definitely apply as a freshman, not a transfer student. In Texas, dual-credit/ECHS hours earned during high school usually still count you as a freshman applicant. Even if all 60 hours transfer, some may only count as electives and not directly toward a mechanical e
